Who we are
Weekender is a free trip planner for students studying abroad, built as a student project. To contact us about anything on this page, use the Feedback button on the site (add your email if you'd like a reply).
What we store

We don't use advertising trackers, and we don't sell or rent your data to anyone.
Services the site uses
- Supabase (accounts and database), only if you create an account or send feedback.
- Resend sends price-alert emails, only if you turn them on. It receives your email address and the email's content.
- Travelpayouts: a script that turns links to travel brands into affiliate links, and the Aviasales data that provides real flight fares. Affiliate partners may set cookies when you click a booking link, to credit the referral.
- Wikipedia (photos and summaries), Open-Meteo (weather and place search), Nager.Date (public holidays) and Frankfurter / ExchangeRate-API (currency rates). Your browser contacts these directly when you open a plan; they see your IP address like any website does.
- GitHub Pages hosts the site; jsDelivr and Google Fonts serve code and fonts.
Your choices and rights
- Use Weekender without an account: nothing leaves your browser except the requests to the services above.
- Edit your details any time under your account. Delete my account (in your account window) removes your login, saved data and ratings from our servers.
- Clearing your browser's site data removes everything stored locally.
- If you're in the EU/UK you have the right to access, correct, delete and export your data, and to complain to your data protection authority. Contact us through the Feedback button.
Affiliate links
Some links to flights, hostels, tours, trains and eSIMs are affiliate links. If you book through them, Weekender may earn a small commission, at no extra cost to you. Commissions never affect scores or rankings: those come only from prices, timing, your interests and your ratings.
Prices and information
Prices are estimates or recent fares found by other travelers, not quotes: they change, and the final price is whatever the booking site charges. Weather, crowd levels and opening information come from open data and can be wrong or out of date. Always check before you book or travel, and follow official travel advice for your destination.
Terms of use
- Weekender is provided free and "as is", without warranties. We're not responsible for bookings, travel plans or losses that result from using it; bookings are between you and the booking site.
- Don't misuse the site (for example, by trying to access other people's data or overloading the service).
- Keep your password safe; you're responsible for activity on your account.
- We may change these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version.
